In lieu of trying to belong to any number of societies: Chesterton, Sherlock Holmes, the Inklings, and so on: I propose and establish one of my own. Don your intelligence cap at the door; dust off your logic and imagination; did you bring your inspiration and encouragement? We are shapers, my friends; lit lamps; light-bringers. Bring quotes; poetry should be uplifting and thoughtful, or witty and clever, (or both). Humor is encouraged; laughter is invited back. Pull up a chair. Anyone for tea?

On this blustery day...

Have you ever read Poppleton in Fall? It's a delightful perusal. Here's part one.
I pulled out a bunch of favorite picture-books on my short visit to Mama's house.
The best of picture-books are part of my very make-up.
Cheers to Trina Schart Hyman, Peter Spiers, Cynthia Rylant, and the rest.
(you can click on the images and page through to see them better.)

Cynthia Rylant is one of my very favorites. Fell in love with her book *When I was Young in the Mountains* 1st. It looked and felt like the story of my Grandma growin up! Then Mr. Putter and Tabby, Mudge, and others followed suit but for different reasons :-)! I love children's literature and loved that while homeschool my 4 babies we got to do LOTS of readin together. That time and good books are a gift from our gracious Father!!! :-) I did not know of this one you shared and i shall go now to amazon and put it order!!! I just need to own a bookshop and i would not need to do that ;-)!!!! Thanks for sharin!!!~tammy
