In lieu of trying to belong to any number of societies: Chesterton, Sherlock Holmes, the Inklings, and so on: I propose and establish one of my own. Don your intelligence cap at the door; dust off your logic and imagination; did you bring your inspiration and encouragement? We are shapers, my friends; lit lamps; light-bringers. Bring quotes; poetry should be uplifting and thoughtful, or witty and clever, (or both). Humor is encouraged; laughter is invited back. Pull up a chair. Anyone for tea?

Hobbits give presents on their birthdays, so of course I did too.  This is Katie's new necklace!

Hi Melanie,
I just googled 'arwen necklace' and bought it off of buycostumes.com. :)

Sweet! And Katie is definitely an elf. Do you know, in our family, we have a mixture of Elves and Hobbits. Bronwyn, my youngest, is definitely Elf-kind. And my husband, well, sometimes we call him "elf", and sometimes "Tom Bombadil." When he's working in the garden, we can hear him singing but can never find him. We circle the property saying, "Where are you?!"
