In lieu of trying to belong to any number of societies: Chesterton, Sherlock Holmes, the Inklings, and so on: I propose and establish one of my own. Don your intelligence cap at the door; dust off your logic and imagination; did you bring your inspiration and encouragement? We are shapers, my friends; lit lamps; light-bringers. Bring quotes; poetry should be uplifting and thoughtful, or witty and clever, (or both). Humor is encouraged; laughter is invited back. Pull up a chair. Anyone for tea?

Tea Quote Tuesday

“The cup of tea on arrival at a country house is a thing which, as a rule, I particularly enjoy. I like the crackling logs, the shaded lights, the scent of buttered toast, the general atmosphere of leisured cosiness.” code of the woosters Wodehouse

Hi Olivia! I got to you through the family who bought your Minneapolis house 10-12 years ago. We fostered one of the children they adopted. I think your mom and the adoptive mom worked out a deal for them to buy the house at a baby shower. The mom used to have a link to your sister on her blog, and that's how I found you. I love your eye for the beautiful and interesting and creative. A friend and I just started a book club. We're about your mom's age, I'd guess. ;) I'd love 3 recommendations from you, only 3! At least one fiction and one non-fiction, please. Thank you!

Thank you so much, Olivia! I hoped you would know who I was referring to while maintaining our friend's privacy. You are a good detective, anyway, I know. ;) I'm going to check these books out! Take care!
