A shelf near the floor for books-and-things~
That globe makes me inordinately happy. . .
The Kitchen:
Welcome to the online picnic-spot for my sporadic writings and endless tea drinking.
In lieu of trying to belong to any number of societies: Chesterton, Sherlock Holmes, the Inklings, and so on: I propose and establish one of my own. Don your intelligence cap at the door; dust off your logic and imagination; did you bring your inspiration and encouragement? We are shapers, my friends; lit lamps; light-bringers. Bring quotes; poetry should be uplifting and thoughtful, or witty and clever, (or both). Humor is encouraged; laughter is invited back. Pull up a chair. Anyone for tea?

Happy, happy pictures! I love them all. I love looking at them and things catch my eye that I remember from the "farm house" and think how wonderful it is that you can make this beautiful house into a cozy home just as the other one was! (In the same town as me!!!! :D)
P.S. ~ The color of your room is so wonderful! I never did actually get to see the color for your room before. I'm so glad you posted pictures! :)
Hurray, pictures. :) The bookshelves look so perfect full like that, and the top of the hoosier is indeed perfect. I love your low shelf/table for books in your room!
Olivia,
I love your room and the living room! Oh and the hoosier too!
What a delightful home you have!
thankyou so much for sharing your wonderful pictures with us! What a sweet home filled with pretties, and family and love. Blessings, christina
You, your sister, and your mom are really gifted when it comes to making a house a home. Unique, beautiful, and sensitively done. I love visiting your blogs.
Olivia - the pictures and the house are beautiful! I LOVE how your room is coming together and the blue paint is perfect!!! I am so glad I saw it in progress, it helps me appreciate the hard work and talent even more! THanks for your pics and poetry - please keep them coming - they are such an encouragment to me. I miss you all so much - looking here brings me closer.
Love you and hugs to all!
