In lieu of trying to belong to any number of societies: Chesterton, Sherlock Holmes, the Inklings, and so on: I propose and establish one of my own. Don your intelligence cap at the door; dust off your logic and imagination; did you bring your inspiration and encouragement? We are shapers, my friends; lit lamps; light-bringers. Bring quotes; poetry should be uplifting and thoughtful, or witty and clever, (or both). Humor is encouraged; laughter is invited back. Pull up a chair. Anyone for tea?

The Treegloo

That is the name we gave to our original idea of making a snow fort in a tree. And what do you know, it worked! These pictures are, naturally, from before we left the farm, I just haven't got around to posting them. It was loads of fun to make, and my good old friends Hannah and Jessie were the fellow constructors. High in the largest tree I know we built it with blocks of snow, and kept ourselves warm from exersion. It was one of those enjoyable winter days when you spend hours and hours outside and forget about the time and everything else.

Just wanted to pass along our rather original snow creation. . . (and yes, it's copyrighted :)
