In lieu of trying to belong to any number of societies: Chesterton, Sherlock Holmes, the Inklings, and so on: I propose and establish one of my own. Don your intelligence cap at the door; dust off your logic and imagination; did you bring your inspiration and encouragement? We are shapers, my friends; lit lamps; light-bringers. Bring quotes; poetry should be uplifting and thoughtful, or witty and clever, (or both). Humor is encouraged; laughter is invited back. Pull up a chair. Anyone for tea?

Quiet day

I got to see Ben's apartment today! Last night got too late to go over and see, but I was able to go there this evening. Such a great space. So much potential: can't wait to see it with furniture and all. I brought a little food as usual, and then after a bit of talking and guitar playing, he and I went to Aldi and got our respective grocery lists. It was great. Then we wound down the evening a little more at his place before I headed home.

The sun was shining brightly when I woke up this morning. First time in a while both from rainy days and early rising. It was a quiet day about the house and I enjoyed it. I'm curling up for an especially cozy night as well.
