In lieu of trying to belong to any number of societies: Chesterton, Sherlock Holmes, the Inklings, and so on: I propose and establish one of my own. Don your intelligence cap at the door; dust off your logic and imagination; did you bring your inspiration and encouragement? We are shapers, my friends; lit lamps; light-bringers. Bring quotes*; poetry should be uplifting and thoughtful, or witty and clever, (or both). Humor is encouraged; laughter is invited back. Pull up a chair. Anyone for tea?

* C.S. LEWIS, J.R.R. TOLKIEN, SHERLOCK HOLMES, G.K. CHESTERTON, N.D. WILSON, AND P.G. WODEHOUSE, ARE ENCOURAGED

Soldiering on

So many things come to mind today. Remembering this song, and humming it to myself with pathos all day at work. Feeling some of this, and quite a bit of that.

I woke up this morning wanting to wear a free hugs t-shirt. (I didn't have one) so at work today I wore a piece of tape on my shirt that read 'free hugs'. I think it helped cheer people up a little, spreading the love.

So we focus on the bright and beautiful, today.

Find reasons to share time and food, and give hugs and smiles.

A little comfort watching anyone?

Also, throwback to when we used camera film.

Listening to Trials of Apollo in the car today. Lol
