In lieu of trying to belong to any number of societies: Chesterton, Sherlock Holmes, the Inklings, and so on: I propose and establish one of my own. Don your intelligence cap at the door; dust off your logic and imagination; did you bring your inspiration and encouragement? We are shapers, my friends; lit lamps; light-bringers. Bring quotes; poetry should be uplifting and thoughtful, or witty and clever, (or both). Humor is encouraged; laughter is invited back. Pull up a chair. Anyone for tea?

A Lewis Tea

in honour of the beloved C. S. "Jack" Lewis, on his birthday, November 29th~

"Write about what really interests you, whether it is real things or imaginary things, and nothing else."
Seed-cake and strong Irish-Breakfast

the babies stole the show...

"The more we let God take us over, the more truly ourselves we become-- because He made us.  He invented us.  He invented all the different people that you and I were intended to be... It is when I turn to Christ, when I give up myself to His personality, that I first begin to have a real personality of my own." --Jack
