In lieu of trying to belong to any number of societies: Chesterton, Sherlock Holmes, the Inklings, and so on: I propose and establish one of my own. Don your intelligence cap at the door; dust off your logic and imagination; did you bring your inspiration and encouragement? We are shapers, my friends; lit lamps; light-bringers. Bring quotes; poetry should be uplifting and thoughtful, or witty and clever, (or both). Humor is encouraged; laughter is invited back. Pull up a chair. Anyone for tea?

The Pineapple house

It's official: we have decided on a name for the house. It began to come about because of one of our roomie's slight obsession with pineapples. Platter, tattoo, lights, you name it. Plus, what's not to love?

Pineapples just have positive connotations for me all around. There are the pineapple stories which I used to listen to on CD growing up, and I learned a lot from them. Besides there were several hilarious moments.

And then there's Psych of course, which is an honest favorite of mine; and I refuse to be ashamed of it's soft place in my heart. Shawn, Gus, and pineapples forever! you know that's right!

Our favorite is of course that pineapples are the symbol for hospitality, and so it really represents our heart for that very well. We're all about people, and fellowship, and food, love, and people again. So yeah, hospitality is a go. And this evening is our inaugural hospitality get-together. On the agenda: fun, fellowship, and food, flooded with the spirit and the love of Christ.
